Grading and Condition Guide

Condition is part of the story. We describe books conservatively, photograph what matters, and note the specific flaws on the specific issue, so you know what is coming before you buy it.

Raw comics

• Near Mint: sharp, clean, and exceptionally well kept, with only minor allowable wear.
• Very Fine: attractive and cared for, with light and limited signs of handling.
• Fine: solid eye appeal with moderate wear that does not compromise the book.
• Very Good: complete and readable, with visible handling, creases, or age.
• Good or below: heavier wear or defects, spelled out in the listing.

Graded comics

Third party graded items list the grading company, the numerical grade, certification details where available, and notes on the holder itself.

Photos and listing specific disclosures always beat this general guide. And a raw grade is an informed opinion, not a promise of what a third party grader would say later.
